About Us

Nancy Condit:
buildingFor the past seven years, Nancy Condit has managed the Fire Creek Ranch, a premier breeding operation of fine reining, cutting and reined cow horses. There she bred to the like of Peptoboonsmall, Grays Starlight, Gallo del Cielo, Chic Please, TR Dual Rey, High Brow Cat, Smart Little Lena and many other fine stallions.

Dick Richardson, DVM:
Blue Mountain Veterinary Hospital and Surgery, PLLP

Dr. Richardson is a graduate of Colorado State University Veterinary School and has been practicing for 26 years with an emphasis on reproductive care. His passion for equine reproduction is exemplified in his successful breeding history and his love of the broodmare.
Services Provided

Artificial Insemination: Montana Mare and Foal offers a compled receiving station for cooled and frozen semen. Details and costs are available upon request

Foaling Services: MMF offers the utmost in comfort and safety to both mare and foal.; Foaling stalls are 12 X 24 and overhead radiant heat is available if needed.

Embryo Transfers: MMF offers embryo transfer services under the supervision of Dr. Dick Richardson. Embryo transfers offer the mare owner the opportunity to:

  1. Obtain multiple foals per year if desired
  2. Allow a recipient mare to carry in the event the donor mare cannot due to age/medical related problems
  3. Allow the donor mare to continue with her performance career without being interrupted

**Embryo transfers are performed in conjunction with Royal Vista Equine, Inc of Fort Collins, CO. Details and costs are available upon request.

Weaning Services: In the event the mare owner is not able to wean the foal at home, he/she may opt to bring the mare to MMF for 2-4 weeks during the weaning process.

Mare Care: MMF takes pride in the care it offers to mare owners. We offer well manicured pastures, clean oversize stalls, 3X/day feedings and clean quality hay and/or alfalfa. We treat each mare like she were our own.
